St. Theresa Catholic School is Hiring a Middle School Science Teacher Near Coral, FL
St. Theresa Catholic School located in Coral Gables (Dade County), Florida is seeking a full-time Middle School Science Teacher for the coming 2024-2025 school year. The applicant must be a dynamic and qualified educator who can integrate NSTA standards, STREAM, and a variety of science within the context of middle school level science. The Middle School Science Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and St. Theresa Catholic School. Salary will vary based on years of experience and certification.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or subject related field; Master’s degree in Science/Education preferred.
- Florida Department of Education Teacher Certification in Science grades K-12 or 6-12; professional or temporary required.
- Minimum two years of related experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of all subject areas in science (Life, Earth, and Physical).
- Able to integrate Catholic worldview with the subjects.
- Strong presentation skills with Apple and other interactive technologies used with digital books.
- Proficiency in MS and Google apps.
- Clear and concise communications with students and parents.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic preferred.
- Must be a team player, able to collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
